I strongly support the objectives of the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). VAWA was first passed in 1994 and is an integral part of the national effort to stop domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. VAWA provides numerous grants every year to a wide range of organizations to combat these problems. Services funded include: advocacy, shelter, law enforcement protection, and legal aid. I strongly support full funding for VAWA programs
