Issue Position: Providing a Quality Education for Every American Child

Issue Position

We must improve and strengthen our public education system in the United States so that it is second to none, and we need to regard it as our primary means to achieve equality of opportunity (not just as an aspiration, but in fact) in this country.

I believe that the future of the American economy depends upon our ability to prepare the world's best workers and to stand by them as we ask them to lead the world in innovation, especially in the areas of energy independence, technology, resource management, and agricultural and medical science.
