Walz served 24 years in the Army National Guard, including a tour overseas to support Operation Enduring Freedom. He's committed to bringing the war in Iraq to an end and ensuring that we honor the service of our veterans by providing the health care and support they were promised.

Walz championed the largest increase in funding for veterans medical care and other benefits in history as well as a bump in the mileage reimbursement rate for rural veterans traveling to VA medical centers.
