Schweikert Receives Endorsement from the Arizona Police Association

In yet another major endorsement this week, David Schweikert received the endorsement of the Arizona Police Association. Members include the Chandler Law Enforcement Association, Mesa Police Association, Tempe Officers Association, Deputies Law Enforcement Association, and National Border Patrol Supervisors Association.

Because of David's fight to limit liability for public safety professionals as victims of frivolous lawsuits and his strong stance on fighting the crime associated with illegal immigration, these law enforcement officers have strongly endorsed David Schweikert. "I am thrilled to have the support of those who are at the core public safety. To receive an endorsement from those on the frontline is humbling." said David Schweikert.

David has been a tireless advocate for tougher anti-crime policies. He has been a strong voice for crime victims, and Arizona peace officers know just how vital the fight for victims' rights really is.

Congress has ignored America's victims by failing to send to the States for ratification an amendment to the US Constitution that will once and for all establish rights for crime victims as the birthright of every American. "I will stand shoulder to shoulder with our law enforcement community in the fight for the rights of the law abiding," said Schweikert.

"Harry Mitchell supports the leadership in congress that has done nothing to fight for the rights of crime victims. It is time to elect leaders that are committed to protecting the God-given rights of every American. If suspects have their ‘rights', why should the victims of crime have any less?" continued Schweikert.

David Schweikert served as the Maricopa County Treasurer before resigning the office to run for Congress. Schweikert served as the Majority Whip in the Arizona Legislature where he sponsored comprehensive legislation reforming legislative ethics and curtailing lobbyist influence. In both positions he saved millions of taxpayer dollars through streamlining and innovative implementation of new technologies. In both positions, Schweikert established a record of proven fiscal and ethical reform.
