Jeff Crank Calls on Barack Obama to Pick up the Tab for His "Historic" Speech
Jeff Crank, Republican candidate for Congress in Colorado's Fifth Congressional District, today called on the taxpayers of Colorado to hold Presidential Candidate Barack Obama accountable for his own publicity tab at the Democrat National Convention.
"Taxpayers should not have to pay for the extra cost of moving Obama's so called historic' speech from the Pepsi Center to Invesco Field at Mile High," said Crank. "If Obama wants to increase the cost and move the location, he should be responsible for the tab," said Crank. "I would hope the Colorado taxpayers would hold him accountable."
"I can think of thousands of better ways to spend taxpayer resources than on promoting Barack Obama's ego with a larger venue. If he wants to throw a bigger party for himself, he should pay for it himself," Crank concluded.
