Capito Statement on West Virginia Day

Congresswoman Says West Virginians Can Be Proud of Heritage and History
Rep. Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) released the following statement today in recognition of West Virginia Day and the Mountain State's 145th Birthday:

"Today, all West Virginians can be proud to celebrate our state's 145th birthday," said Rep. Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV). "We live by the motto - Mountaineers are Always Free - and there's no question that the people of West Virginia represent the very best of our great nation.

"From the beautiful mountains and rolling hills to our state's unique role in the storied history of our nation, West Virginians certainly have quite a lot to celebrate and I'm excited to join everyone throughout the Mountain State in wishing West Virginia the very best on its 145th birthday."
