Senator Chuck Grassley issued the following comment about the death of NBC newsman Tim Russert.

"Tim Russert leaves behind an enormous footprint in American political journalism. He helped Americans to tune in to the political process when so many have tuned out. Tim held elected officials and powerful officials to account with tough and fair questions. Tim Russert connected with Americans from all walks of life. I extend my condolences to the Russert family. Along with his extraordinary professional career, it might also be the case that the greatest legacy he leaves to all Americans on this Father's Day weekend is his unwavering love and devotion to family."
