Clyburn Statement on Senator Kennedy

House Majority Whip James E. Clyburn today released the following statement in response to news reports that Senator Edward "Ted" Kennedy of Massachusetts has been diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor.

"My thoughts and prayers are with Senator Kennedy and his family at this challenging time. I look forward to his return to Congress so we may continue to call upon his friendship and leadership. I hope that the indomitable spirit that has carried him through so many tough battles during his life will continue to serve him well."
