Durbin Statement On Passage of Budget Resolution

United States Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) released the following statement today after the Senate passed, 48-45, the final version of a budget resolution that creates jobs, is fiscally responsible and cuts taxes for middle class Americans.

"Today we passed a budget which lowers taxes and creates nearly a half-a-million good paying jobs here in America. Our budget puts families in Illinois and the rest of America first by helping to make health care, college tuition and energy more affordable."
