Rep. Foster Names Sue Klinkhamer District Director

Today, Rep. Bill Foster (IL-14) announced that he had hired Sue Klinkhamer, currently serving as a lobbyist for the City of Chicago in Washington, D.C., to serve as his District Director. Klinkhamer, a former two-term Mayor of St. Charles, will be returning home to help Foster provide outstanding constituent service to the families of the 14th District.

"I am proud to have Sue Klinkhamer join my team," Foster said. "Most recently, her work on behalf of the City of Chicago and earlier, for residents in St. Charles exemplified a solid, bipartisan approach that emphasized solving people's problems instead of politics."

"I look forward to going to work for Bill Foster, and helping him succeed as our Representative in Congress, whether it's fighting for jobs at Fermi or helping our families access affordable health insurance," said Klinkhamer. "Working with Rep. Foster on behalf of families in the district, at this critical time in our economy, has become my new mission and it is one that I am excited to start."

Other Illinois leaders hailed the hiring decision by Rep. Foster. Said Sen. Dick Durbin, "Sue will be a tremendous addition to Congressman Foster's staff. Her background as a former mayor and her work with the City of Chicago will hold her in good stead in this new position. She brings a wealth of experience, a deep understanding of the region and a commitment to serving the people of Illinois."

Added Batavia Mayor Jeffery D. Schielke, "Sue Klinkhamer is a great choice - she understands the problems our families face and there are few people more committed to serving all of the residents of this district. Sue will make Rep. Foster's outstanding team even better."
