Issue Position: Crime/Anti-trust

My senior position on the Senate Judiciary Committee also gives me the opportunity to conduct oversight of the U.S. Justice Department. In recent years, I've called upon its Anti-Trust Division to weigh carefully consolidation in agribusiness. Specifically, I'm concerned about reduced market opportunities, possible anti-competitive and predatory business practices, vertical integration and fewer competitors.
