Cornyn Statement On $10.4 Billion Contract For V-22 Aircraft Production
Work will be done in Amarillo and Fort Worth
U.S. Sen. John Cornyn, a member of the Armed Services Committee, made the following statement Friday regarding a $10,399,123,179 Defense Department contract for Bell Helicopter V-22 Osprey production. Part of the work will be done in Amarillo and Fort Worth.
"The V-22 Osprey is a cutting-edge aircraft that has already proven its tremendous worth on the field of battle. This contract will ensure that our troops have the benefit of this state-of-the-art aircraft for decades to come. It is also a huge victory for the Amarillo and North Texas communities that continue to support V-22 production and winning the war on terror."
