Standing Against the Bush/Wilson War in Iraq

Statement

Martin Heinrich has opposed the war in Iraq since before it began while Heather Wilson has supported President Bush every step of the way. Heather Wilson has cast countless votes to spend billions of American taxpayer dollars in Iraq. She's supported giving the President a blank, no-questions-asked check to prosecute and escalate the war as he sees fit.

Martin Heinrich will not be silent as the no-end-in-sight Iraq war continues to cost our country treasure and precious lives. That's why we've started a petition drive to bring an end to the war in Iraq. If you want to join Martin and call upon Rep. Martin Heinrich will continue to speak out for an honorable end to the war throughout this campaign. Last July, he criticized Rep. Wilson for voting against a bill that called for the withdrawal of troops from Iraq to begin within 120 days of enactment of the legislation and to be completed by April 1, 2008.
