Durbin Statement on Passage of the Democrat's Budget Resolution
United States Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) released the following statement tonight after the Senate passed a budget resolution which creates jobs, is fiscally responsibility and cuts taxes for middle class Americans.
"Tonight, Democrats passed a budget which lowers taxes and creates nearly a half-a-million good paying jobs here in America."
"The Republican budget is Bush economics all over again -- tax breaks for oil companies and the super-rich. Our budget put American families first by helping to make health care, college tuition and energy more affordable."
