Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Chris Murphy (CT-5) released the following statement on Boeing's decision to challenge the Air Force's contract with a foreign company to replace the Air Force's KC-135 refueling tanker.

"I am glad that Boeing decided to challenge the Air Force's decision. This important defense contract is critical to our national security, and with the incredible skilled defense workforce we have here in the United States, I question how this contract was awarded to a foreign company.

"I, along with the rest of the Connecticut House delegation, have asked for a briefing from the Air Force, and I am looking forward to learning more and asking the tough questions about how this decision was made and how we can ensure that jobs stay here in America."
