Issue Position: Jobs and Economic Growth
When individuals, families, and small businesses keep more of what they earn, our economy grows and jobs are created. I believe that by reducing the tax burden on farmers, ranchers, and other small business owners, more resources will be freed up to spend and invest and thereby, grow the economy and create jobs.
My position on the Senate Small Business Committee allows me to work to ensure South Dakota's small businesses are competing in an environment that encourages them to grow and create new jobs. Specifically, I will work to ensure that the programs Congress has created to help small businesses are not only successful, but help those that are most in need in a way that is not overly burdensome.
