Boozman Votes to Bolster Economy
U.S. Representative John Boozman (R-AR) today chose to bolster the American economy and assist its working families and small businesses, voting for a temporary economic growth package.
The bipartisan, $146 billion package passed the House, 385-35.
"Working families and small business owners in Arkansas will reap direct benefits from this plan, including incentives which will allow owners to invest in new equipment for their businesses. This will result in the creation of more local jobs, which will increase our local economy."
"This plan will bolster our economy in the short-term by offering tax relief, while not including wasteful spending. I hope we can continue this bipartisan spirit in the future, so that we might put together an even broader tax relief agreement - including making permanent current tax cuts."
"Our principle should guide us to be better stewards of the people's money, and to trust the people to spend their money instead of having Washington spend it for them," Boozman continued. "I call on my friends in the Senate to move quickly to pass the bipartisan House stimulus plan so working families can see this relief sooner instead of later."
