Statement Of U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell On USEC Decision To Build Enrichment Plant In Ohio

"I am disappointed in USEC's announcement that it will build its new enrichment plant in Ohio. While I regret their decision, I remain committed to securing funding for important priorities at the Paducah plant, including accelerated cleanup and construction of a DUF6 conversion plant that would help create jobs.

"The excellent workforce at Paducah has served our country well for decades, and I am confident they will continue their outstanding work as long as USEC operates the Paducah plant."
