Congresswoman Kirsten Gillibrand GOAL Listing June 22, 2007
Welcome to this week's GOAL (Grant Opportunity Action Listing). A top priority of mine in Congress is to foster economic opportunity in our area as a way to create good jobs in our community. This week's update has several great opportunities that I strongly encourage folks to apply for.
Yesterday, the USDA Rural Development Administration released notices for two competitive programs that are of particular interest to our community. Please pay special attention to the notices for the Rural Development Administration Technical and Supervisory Assistance Grant Program and the Rural Community Development Initiative Grants which appear at the top of this list.
Technical research grants comprise the bulk of the listings for this week's GOAL listing. Numerous programs from the National Science Foundation, Health and Human Services and the Department of Energy provide funding for several technical areas requiring specific expertise.
There will also be interest from our law enforcement officials in the programs offered by the U.S. Department of Justice COPS Office.
As always, I have highlighted several items which might be of special importance in our community.
Once again, there are several foundation listings that include unique opportunities for small programs. Of note are grants offered for Young Social Entrepreneurs and Youth Gardening Programs.
