BUCHANAN COMMENTS ON DEFEAT OF SENATE AMNESTY BILL

Congressman Vern Buchanan (R-FL 13) released the following statement today regarding the failure of the Senate immigration bill.

"The American people have made it clear that they are opposed to rewarding illegal behavior by granting amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants," said Buchanan. "I hope Congress will now work to pass legislation that secures the border, enforces our laws, and creates a tamper-proof id card for non-citizens. I look forward to working with other members of Congress on a bipartisan basis to address this critical issue."
