Capito Statement on William Powell's Nomination to U.S. District Court
Congresswoman Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) today issued the following comments on President Bush's nomination of William Powell to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia:
"I am pleased that the president has nominated William Powell to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia," said Rep. Capito. "Bill brings a strong professional background and is well qualified for the bench. His integrity and respect throughout the legal community is commendable. The Eastern Panhandle desperately needs the Senate to confirm Mr. Powell quickly."
