Boozman Commends Pregnancy Centers
Adds Name to Resolution Honoring Commitment to Pregnant Women

U.S. Representative John Boozman (R-AR) expressed his support for addressing the needs of American women and men facing unplanned pregnancies by adding his name to a House resolution commending the nation's pregnancy resource centers.

Over 2,500 centers exist across the United States, offering free pregnancy tests, counseling, and classes to women who cannot afford them, while providing complete and accurate information regarding pregnancy options. Many centers also work to prevent crisis pregnancies through abstinence education at public schools.

"Women should have the full range of information about their pregnancy, including options," Boozman said. "Resource centers are committed to providing prenatal information which leads to the birth of healthy babies, and I strongly support the staff and volunteers of these facilities for their contributions to the lives of women and infants - both born and unborn."

The resolution encourages federal and state government agencies to grant assistance for medical equipment and abstinence education, while decrying actions which would prevent pregnancy resource centers from serving women.
