Right to Life Debate "Long Overdue"
Signs :etter urging hearing on Right to Life Act
U.S. Representative John Boozman (R-AR) today called on members of the House Democrat leadership to allow a hearing on legislation which would extend Constitutional protections to unborn children.
"This is legislation which should have the opportunity for a fair debate in the People's House," Boozman, a member of the Bipartisan Congressional Pro-Life Caucus, said. "Many of us from both sides of the aisle would like the voices of millions of Americans heard by granting rights to the unheard and unborn who are taken at a rate of 4,000 per day"
In a letter, signed by a bipartisan group of 24 Members, Boozman called a hearing on H.R. 618, the Right to Life Act, an action which "would be the first step toward finally beginning the dialogue" of a long overdue debate.
