WALBERG SUPPORTS ANIMAL FIGHTING PROHIBITION ENFORCEMENT ACT

U.S. Congressman Tim Walberg (R-MI7) will support legislation (H.R. 137) prohibiting an individual from sponsoring or exhibiting an animal for fighting purposes during votes in the House tonight.

"As a co-sponsor of this legislation and a dog owner, I believe animal fighting is a brutal, inhumane practice and that animal fighting need to be prevented," Walberg said.

BACKGROUND:
- Congressman Walberg is the proud owner of a Golden Retriever (Abby)
- The bill was introduced by Rep. Elton Gallegly (CA-24) and is expected to pass with bi-partisan support
