Rep. Courtney Advocates Passage of Wounded Warrior Assistance Act'
Congressman Joe Courtney today addressed the House of Representatives today to continue to lend his strong support for H.R. 1538, Wounded Warrior Assistance Act of 2007, a bill to improve the quality of health care and service for our nation's veterans and returning soldiers from Iraq and Afghanistan.
The House of Representatives is expected to pass the legislation with bipartisan support later today.
"Eastern Connecticut's servicemen and women have sacrificed so much for our nation and I want to ensure that they have the quality health care that they have earned when discharged from active service," stated Courtney. "I am proud of our nation's citizen soldiers and I believe that the bipartisan Wounded Warrior Assistance Act' is one way to say thank you and honor their service."
