Klobuchar Launches First "Minnesota Morning" Meeting Inviting Minnesotans Visiting Washington to Join her at her New Office

U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar today announced that each week she will host Minnesotans visiting the Washington, D.C. at a "Minnesota Morning" gathering in her office. Klobuchar will sponsor the first "Minnesota Morning" meeting, Tomorrow, March 22nd at 8:30 AM EST in her new permanent office, Senate Hart Office Building Room 302.

"Minnesotans visiting our nation's capital will be busy seeing the sights and touring the museums. Now that we are in our new office I invite them to also join me for some potica and good conversation," said Klobuchar. "I look forward to visiting with friends from home, tasting pastries from the Iron Range and enjoying a 'Minnesota Morning' before we start our day."

Klobuchar said that she is shipping in cases of potica - a flaky pastry dessert that her grandmother used to make up on the Iron Range - from Chisholm. She will hold the "Minnesota Morning" events Thursdays that the U.S. Senate is in session.
