Pelosi Statement on the Execution of Saddam Hussein

Speaker-designate Nancy Pelosi released the following statement this morning on the execution of Saddam Hussein:

"The execution of Saddam Hussein ends a tragic chapter in the history of Iraq, but it is not a substitute for an effective strategy that will bring peace to the region and allow the responsible redeployment of U.S. forces."
