Boozman: Ethics Reform a Good First Step

U.S. Representative John Boozman (R-AR) today voted in support of ethical behavior by Members of Congress, voting for Title II of H.Res. 6, the House Rules Package for the 110th Congress.

"Many of the provisions in today's vote are the same ones the Republican majority passed in May 2006, so I am glad to see the new leadership of the House continue our efforts," Boozman said. "The ethics provisions banning something as small as a cup of coffee from a lobbyist are a good first step to cleaning up the House.

"The voters spoke loudly in November, demanding ethical government, financially responsible government, and bipartisan government.

"I look forward to future legislative opportunities offered by Members of both sides of the aisle to restore public confidence in Congress," Boozman added.
