CONGRESSMAN HENRY CUELLAR CONGRATULATES NEW INTELLIGENCE COMMITTEE CHAIR SILVESTRE REYES

Today, Congressman Henry Cuellar commended Speaker-designate Nancy Pelosi's choice of Texas Democratic Congressman Silvestre Reyes as Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.

"Speaker-designate Pelosi should be commended for choosing Silvestre Reyes as Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. Congressman Silvestre Reyes is supremely qualified for this position, and I congratulate him on his selection," noted Cuellar. "Silvestre has been a dedicated servant of his nation for over four decades, first as a soldier in Vietnam, then as an exemplary border patrol agent, and finally as a devoted member of Congress. As a fellow Texan and border Congressman, I can think of no one more qualified and better prepared for the job."
