Wilson Statement on Secretary of Defense Robert Gates
Congressman Joe Wilson (SC-02), member of the House Armed Services Committee, today released the following statement following the swearing-in of Secretary of Defense Robert Gates.
"Secretary Gates has a long history of service to our country. Having served in the CIA and the National Security Council, Mr. Gates is well informed of the threats our nation faces.
"As we seek to move forward in Iraq, I am confident Secretary Gates will bring a new perspective to the Administration. I look forward to working with him."
