Pelosi Statement on Ethics Committee Forming an Investigative Subcommittee on Foley Matter

House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi released the following statement today on the announcement by the Ethics Committee that it is forming an investigative subcommittee to investigate the Foley matter:

"I am pleased the Ethics Committee honored my resolution by forming an investigative subcommittee to investigate the cover-up of Mark Foley's outrageous behavior.

"I expect that the Republican Members, officers of the House, and staff will be questioned under oath so that this scandal will be resolved fairly and quickly. I look forward to the preliminary report next week.

"The young people, their parents, and the public deserve answers. Those who covered up Mark Foley's behavior must be held accountable."
