Dear Friends,

The past few weeks I have been traveling around our redrawn 28th district, meeting new and old faces, hoping to hear your concerns, ideas and suggestions.

And as I talk with people in my hometown of Laredo, or in some of the new parts of our district, I find that many are worried about the same issues: jobs, healthcare, national security, border issues. And while these issues are challenging, we can solve them, if we work together and make sure there's a new atmosphere in Washington.

In less than a month, voters in our district and across our nation will head to the polls, to cast their ballots for their representatives, the people who will be their voices in the next Congress. If elected, I will be a voice for you. Let's build on a successful first term by bringing more money back for local projects, creating new jobs, and working across the aisle for the benefit of our communities. Let's keep moving forward.
