Kean to Menendez: Actions Speak Louder than Words

Statement from U.S. Senate candidate Tom Kean Jr.:

"This week, the Senate has an opportunity to make history, by passing the first real minimum wage increase in a decade, coupled with an end to the unfair, family-business destroying, double taxation of the death tax. With this vote, Bob Menendez has a chance to do what he has repeatedly claimed he wants to do - increase the federal minimum wage and provide tax relief for New Jersey families.

Despite Menendez's election year grandstanding on lowering taxes, his actions tell the real story. Menendez has a career long record of favoring higher taxes for New Jerseyans - regardless of his campaign rhetoric. If Menendez wants to make New Jersey more affordable, then he should join me in supporting the minimum wage hike and the repeal of the death tax."
