Remembering September 11th
September 11th is a terrible and important day in our history. And as we pause to remember those who died in the attacks, the day also serves as a reminder that the fight to keep America safe continues.
And while we have made some progress, there is still much more to be done, five years since the attacks. I am committed to making sure we continue to do all we can to protect our homeland, both by improving security at home, including protecting our airports and other transportation centers, and by continuing our fight abroad against terrorism.
I also ask you to join me in thanking our troops for their brave service.
