Jamie Wall Announces Bid For Congress

JOB CREATION WILL TOP AGENDA FOR 8TH DISTRICT

Jamie Wall, a Green Bay businessman, announced today that he will seek to represent the people of Northeast Wisconsin in the U.S. Congress.

"People all over Northeast Wisconsin, from the farm families I grew up with to the community leaders I've come to know in business and in public service, have asked me to run for Congress," Wall said. "Today, I am honored to announce my candidacy for Wisconsin's Eighth Congressional District."

"The people of Northeast Wisconsin tell me that they want their next Congressman to help bring more quality jobs to the area," Wall said. "I've spent my career helping companies large and small expand and create jobs."

Wall grew up on his family's dairy farm in Askeaton in rural Brown County. He attended public schools in Wrightstown and the University of Wisconsin - Madison, where he became the first UW student in a generation to win a Rhodes Scholarship.

The Green Bay Democrat currently works as an independent business consultant. He is a former head of the state's economic development programs at the Wisconsin Department of Commerce. He is a founding member of the Northeast Wisconsin Economic Development Partnership.
