Wall Campaign: Wall Applauds Procter & Gamble's Announcement of New Paper Machine in Green Bay
Cites work at Department of Commerce in deal
Jamie Wall, the Democratic candidate for U.S. Congress in Wisconsin's 8th District, applauded Procter & Gamble's announcement today that it would build a new paper machine in Green Bay. The machine, the first of its kind to be built in the state in well over a decade, will provide job security for hundreds of workers in Northeast Wisconsin and will create hundreds of new construction jobs.
"This is an exciting day for our community," Wall said. "The construction of a new paper machine right here in Green Bay will help ensure that our economic future is bright."
During his tenure as head of Wisconsin's economic development programs at the Department of Commerce, Wall worked with the governor, local government and business leaders, and multiple state agencies to craft the state incentive package that helped lead to today's announcement.
"I am proud to have played a role in bringing this new paper machine to Green Bay," said Wall. "I will continue to work to bring high quality jobs to Northeast Wisconsin."
