4TH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT AGRICULTURE & INDUSTRY TOUR CONCLUDES
Congressman Robert Aderholt's (R-Haleyville) annual 4th Congressional District Agriculture and Industry Tour concluded today in Russellville. The tour, attended by over 100 people, spent the past two days touring local plants and industries in Franklin and Marion counties.
"The tour has really put the vibrancy of the manufacturing community in Franklin and Marion counties on full display," said Congressman Aderholt. "This is happening all across the District and demonstrates the continuing need for policies that support businesses and industries and the people they employ so that we can keep good solid paying jobs in our area."
Taking place on Thursday, August 17 and Friday, August 18, this seventh annual event highlighted industries in Marion and Franklin counties. Among the sites the Congressman and the group visited were: Tiffin Motorhomes (Red Bay); Sunshine Mills (Red Bay); Little Bear Creek Reservoir (Little Bear Creek); 3M (Guin); King Kutter (Winfield); and, Bunkhouse Conversions (Winfield).
Congressman Aderholt continued, "I was pleased with the high level of participation that we had this year on the tour. From the industries we visited to the people that joined us at each of our stops, it was a great opportunity to learn about what we have here in our District. I'd like to thank everyone who participated this year and we hope to have another tour again next year. For anyone who is interested in joining us, please call Jennifer Taylor in our office in Cullman. We would love for them to join us."
