Vern's Statement on the Pledge of Allegiance

Liberal Judge Wrong on Pledge of Allegiance

"The liberal California judge who ruled that the Pledge of Allegiance is unconstitutional is simply wrong. The court of public opinion declares him wrong. Parents and teachers declare him wrong. Those of us who stand for traditional values declare him wrong. And the U.S. Supreme Court has already rejected the attempt by the same atheist to get the pledge out of public schools.

We are ‘one nation under God' regardless of the attempts of atheists and other extremists to remove God and the flag from our culture and our classrooms.

Activist judges attempt to change our culture in the courtroom instead of in Congress. They are legislating from the bench and they must be stopped. This decision will be appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court. This is just one of the many reasons we must confirm Judge Roberts and President Bush's nominees for the Federal Courts.

Every American should be outraged by this decision which reflects the liberal values of Hollywood and the left instead of the vast majority of Americans."
