Gov. Rounds' statement on filing of charges

PIERRE - Governor Rounds has made the following statement regarding the charges filed against Congressman Janklow:

"Again, our sympathies go out to the family of Mr. Scott. This fatal accident is a tragedy for all concerned. The system of justice in South Dakota is working the way our citizens have designed it. The states attorney has reviewed the facts as presented by law enforcement, and filed those charges he believes are supported by the evidence."
