Titus Gives Gibbons An F On Earth Day

On the eve of Earth Day, environmental advocate and E-Governor candidate Sen. Dina Titus gave Rep. Jim Gibbons an "F" for failed leadership on the environment.

"I've been busy trying to be the state's next E-governor, working to improve ethics in politics, education, energy conservation, economic development, and the environment," Titus said. "Gibbons is the state's candidate for F-governor because he has failed us on the environment. I have been there all along protecting the environment -- saving Red Rock from development, chairing the Natural Treasures Committee and advocating more use of renewable energy. If Gibbons sees a tree, he wants to chop it down. He has even tried to make one of the most toxic substances on earth seem harmless. Gibbons has failed us in Washington and he is wrong for Nevada."

BREAK IN TRANSCRIPT

While Titus received a perfect score of 100 on Nevada Conservation League's 2005 legislative scorecard for her environmental record, the League of Conservation Voters in Washington D.C gave Gibbons a dismal score of zero.

"Gibbons is no hero on the environment," Titus said. "He's a zero."
