We've Been Busy
We've been too busy to write lately but tonight is one of those nights when I'm too excited to sleep and can't think of anything better to do than write an update for my "blog". We've had a great couple of weeks and as we near the beginning of a new month, I'm amazed at how far we've come since we announced our candidacy on March 6th. I couldn't be more proud of the grassroots organization we've developed in the past few weeks with Co-Chairs established in every county in the district.
We just got back tonight from Canon City where I had the privilege of speaking to my friends at the Fremont County Republican Central Committee meeting up at the Shadow Hills Golf Club. Thanks to Francis Williams, our Jeff Crank for Congress Fremont County Chairman, for his hard work these past few days. Francis set up well for our Town Hall visit last Friday with Congressman Hefley as we stopped by to announce my endorsement from the Congressman at the Canon Coffee Café. I was proud to start the day on Friday morning at 7AM with over 75 supporters at the Ranch Steakhouse to begin a day of Town Hall meetings with Congressman Hefley. Though it was early, my supporters sure showed up to help us kick off the day. We met Francis and the Fremont County team at 10AM and headed up through the canyon on Highway 50 to meet over 50 supporters at the CountyBounty restaurant for a great meal. Special thanks to my Chaffee County crew of Amber O'Connor and John Kearly for setting up a great event. I'm sure the big crowds had a lot to do with Joel Hefley. He still is and always will be a star to those he has represented well for the past 20 years. His endorsement is one I will always treasure.
We won a straw poll at the Park County Republican Central Committee meeting about a week ago. My early support in these counties is overwhelming and to those who are making it possible, thank you and please keep up the good work!
