Jeff Crank Releases Extensive Budget Reform & Spending Plan

Colorado Springs - Today Jeff Crank, candidate for Congress in Colorado's 5th District, released his plan to reduce the increasing wasteful government spending in Washington by incorporating fiscal responsibility and substantial budget cuts. Crank's extensive plan includes support of a Balanced Budget Amendment and a Line Item Veto Constitutional Amendment.

"After the War on Terror, the second most important issue facing America today is the immoral spending that occurs by our federal government, "said Crank. "As we continue to rack up debt on America's credit card, all we are doing is simply passing the burden of our debt onto our children and grandchildren. I intend to join other reformers in Congress in decreasing the enormous national debt by not only changing the system and the way Congress spends our tax dollars but also in making substantial cuts in the budget."

Crank is the only candidate in the race who has outlined specific budget cuts to save American taxpayers billions of dollars over the next five years. Crank's plan would erase the deficit in five years and begin paying down the national debt by stopping the dramatic increases in spending that has occurred recently in the Republican controlled Congress. Crank's proposed budget cuts would additionally accelerate the amount of time to erase the deficit.

"If Republicans won't differentiate themselves from Democrats on issues like spending, they will no longer be in the majority next year, "said Crank. "Republicans must lead on the issues outlined in my plan to bring the party back to the party of lower taxes and less spending."
