BLACKBURN EXPRESSES DISAPPOINTMENT WITH USE OF SOLDIERS' CASKETS IN FUNDRAISING AD
Representative Marsha Blackburn (TN-7th District) issued the following statement today in response to the release of a Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee fundraising video containing images of the caskets of U.S. soldiers.
"I'm deeply saddened and disappointed by this advertisement. Americans deserve better. I ask the DCCC to withdraw this video immediately. We mourn those lost in the war on terrorism and we should honor their service and sacrifice, not use their remains as a political prop."
"We must not lose sight of the respect and reverence this nation has for its fighting men and women in the debate over how to proceed with the war on terrorism."
