Residents of the 9th District deserve, and historically have received, excellent assistance in solving personal and business problems.

During 27 years in public service, I have learned the four corners of this District like no other candidate. I know the businessmen and women, the clergy, healthcare professionals, educators, government employees, and thousands of other working men and women. I know how to listen.

Since 1976, I have been elected to represent Memphians in public office. That means they've been pleased with how I've served them. That cannot be accomplished simply by knowledge of politics or business. It requires knowing Memphis and the needs of its citizens. I'm always available to take the public's calls and to attend public meetings. No one is more visible or accessible than me.
