WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Senate Majority Whip Mitch McConnell released the following statement today following the Supreme Court's ruling on the Vermont campaign finance law:
"This is an important victory for the First Amendment. I applaud the Supreme Court for recognizing that Vermont's limits on contributions and spending violate the free speech rights of those who participate in the political process."
