Congressman Aderholt Statement on the Death of Al-Qaida Leader Zarqawi

Congressman Robert Aderholt (R-Haleyville) today made the following statement on the death of Al-Qaida Leader Zarqawi:

"The death of the terrorist leader al Zarqawi marks another step forward in the war on terrorism. This action by coalition forces and the Iraqi government proves that through patience and perseverance, we will bring justice to those who prey on innocent victims wherever they might be. It also shows the level of cooperation that exists between the Iraqi government and coalition forces.

Today also marks the completion of the Iraqi Cabinet with Prime Minister Maliki naming a new Minster of Defense, a new Minister of the Interior, and a new Minister of State for National Security. I believe this will mark a new chapter in Iraqi history with these new ministers representing a democratic process in Iraq that will lead to safety, security, and the continued freedom for the Iraqi people."
