Statement by U.S. Representative Diana DeGette on the Death of Terrorist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi

U.S. Representative Diana DeGette (D-Colo.) released the following statement concerning the death of Iraqi terrorist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

"This is a tremendous victory for our brave men and women fighting in Iraq. Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was responsible for countless U.S. and Iraqi deaths and the world is a safer place without him.

"I hope that al-Zarqawi's death will allow the Iraqi government to begin to stabilize the country so we can bring our soldiers home."
