U.S. Senate Majority Whip Mitch McConnell released the following statement today following House passage of the MINER Act:

"This comprehensive mine-safety legislation will help protect the thousands of Kentuckians working every day in our coal mines, and I am pleased the House passed it. Improving coal mine safety will remain one of my top priorities, and I am confident the President will sign this legislation."
