Carter Applauds House Action To Increase Oil Production In U.S.

U.S. Representative John Carter (TX-31) strongly supported legislation that will help ease the burden of high gas prices on Americans. The House passed HR 5429, the American-Made Energy and Good Jobs Act, which will allow for oil and gas exploration in Alaska's Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR).

"This bill is another way I am working to help ease the burden of high energy prices on American taxpayers," Congressman Carter said. "I am proud to support efforts to reduce our dependence on foreign sources of oil and gas. The development and exploration of ANWR would increase our nation's oil supply and help lower gas prices."
