SENATOR COLLINS ANNOUNCES THAT THE PRESIDENT HAS APPROVED THE STATE OF MAINE'S DISASTER DECLARATION

Senator Susan Collins has issued the following statement regarding the President's recent approval of the State of Maine's request for a Major Disaster Declaration:

"I am very pleased that the President, on the recommendation of FEMA, has approved the ‘major disaster' declaration requested by the State. The declaration means that federal assistance will be available for eligible individuals whose property has been damaged or destroyed by the floods, as well as to repair or replace certain public buildings and facilities," said Senator Collins.
